Jim Palmeri

Jim Palmeri’s pivotal work introduced the concept of organized Disc Golf competition to the Frisbee community at the 1974 American Flying Disc Open. Jim also invented the game of Double Disc Court and developed the competitive format for Freestyle competition. He and his business partner, Mike Guernsey, published Flying Disc Magazine in 1980, setting the standard for quality for all subsequent flying disc publications. Jim’s knowledge of the flying disc from a historical perspective is positively encyclopedic.
