John Hodges

John Hodges possessed an uncanny ability to keep his teams in the proper game frame of mind while he concentrated on who to attack and how best to defend. He was the ultimate Guts Frisbee game strategist. Defensively, Johnny possessed some of the best hands the game has ever known. He was a three-way offensive threat, with a deceptive thumb throw, sidearm, and turnover. During the four-year period beginning in 1974, his legendary Library Bar teams won fifteen Guts Frisbee tournaments, setting new standards for defense and teamwork along the way. Johnny played in twenty-two tournament finals and won seventeen times, including three International Frisbee Tournaments, two US Nationals, the first GPA World Championship, and the WFC Championships in the Rose Bowl.

Inducted at the 30th International Frisbee Tournament in 1997
