Steve Trauger

A fierce competitor and a top defensive player, Steve's accuracy with his forehand (two-finger) was legendary. This lethal combination is reflected in his victories in 3 International Frisbee Tournaments, 2 US Nationals, 3 GPA World Championships and winning in 23 of 31 finals appearances, including multiple wins with
Mill City Flyers, Beer City Express, and Cupola Bandits. He was GPA World Championship MVP in 1982 and was the first player to win at least one tournament in ten consecutive years. Steve has been a major contributor to Guts organization via tournament management and involvement with the GPA/USA Guts as a renowned historian and collector. His tournament archival and statistical work, including recording of tournament discs, has created vital links to Guts' storied past.
