Hall of Fame

Mark Banghart

In 1976, Mark became the only player ever to qualify for the World Frisbee Championships in the Rose Bowl in Guts, Ultimate, Points, and Overall. His Guts skills have remained excellent, combining rock-solid defense with an extremely accurate backhand throw. Mark’s greatest contribution, however, was his founding of the Boomtown Saints Guts Frisbee team from Lansing. Since 2005, the Saints have become the greatest team in the rebirth of Guts, claiming 6 International Frisbee Tournaments and 4 World Guts Championships. In addition to their winning record, Boomtown plays the game with the highest level of sportsmanship. Mark was also a member of the 2008 WFDF World Ultimate and Guts Championship gold medal Guts team and the 2012 WFDF WUGC silver medal Guts team.

Inducted at the 60th International Frisbee Tournament in 2017
