Hall of Fame

Steve Buckley

From the 1980s into the 2000s, Steve played Guts Frisbee at the highest skill levels offensively and defensively. He could score critical points with both his devastating right-handed thumb throw and wicked left-handed backhand. Defensively, his dives are legendary, and his phenomenal end-play propelled the Cupola Bandits, Blame the Dog, and other teams to the finals. Steve’s outstanding hustle was amazing, as memories of him laying out to grab a disc resonate around the Guts circuit. Steve’s teams won 2 International Frisbee Tournaments, 4 US Nationals, 4 World Guts Championships, and 2 Redford Opens. His Guts career spanned the golden age, three-man era, and rebirth, as Steve has passed on his knowledge and passion to the next generation of players in the metro Detroit area.

Inducted at the 60th International Frisbee Tournament in 2017
